I actually like the story and characters, but if it is not going to make me any money, I'm not going to spend more time on it. I reworked the cover because I hated the old version. This one is much more like a voyeur looking through a window spying on the objects of his affection. I think it also shows the fragmented nature of our own identities and sexuality. (How's that for too many years of a liberal arts education?)

My latest novelette is Pain Makes You Beautiful. As you can tell from the title it's a lot more about sadism and masochism and has nothing to do with lactation at all. It's a peppy little bit of erotica that you can find on Smashwords.com.

Pain Makes You Beautiful from Smashwords gets me the highest royalty level, so I always promote them at the top of my posts.

S.E. Hinton's Gay Porn Cover

A few years ago I saw this cover to S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders

I didn't think much of it other than it wasn't that great a cover image, but it was the classic young adult novel so it didn't really matter in the way of sales.

Then it occured to me that this it looks like the cover of a gay erotica novel. See:

Deena Bright's Schooled

Third, her mistake was asking the school permission to write an erotic novel. Where is Deena Bright's common sense. As a school teacher she should know better because parents, schoool boards, and students all expect teachers to be sexless automatons that do nothing but read dready old Victorian novels and grade papers.

Fourth, she might be out of a job, so if the novel interests you, give it a look and a purchase.

Bad Sex (Writing) Award Winner

I wonder how much this drives up sales of the book. This year's award for terrible sex writing goes to Nancy Huston for her novel Infrared.

The passage that made me laugh? "...my sex swimming in joy like a fish in water" a phrase she repeats exactly at least once. Sex as a fish? Yeah. I'm sure there's a internet porn for that.
